About
Gregory Irish
Founder and Lead Investigator for the CNJPI
Both my wife and I were interested in the paranormal from an early age, but got into ghost research and hunting after living in a haunted apartment. We joined the New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society in February of 2004 and have taken “Ghost Researcher” and “Paranormal Investigator” courses from the IGHS (www.ghostweb.com). We have been on many investigations with this other group and on our own. We have just returned as Team Leaders for the Central NJ Division of the New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society (www.njghs.net).
I hail originally from Cazenovia, NY (Syracuse Area). I enjoy working with computers, playing guitar, bicycling, and taking long walks in the country. Early retirement gives me time for hobbies and ghost hunting. I am best known for having a growing collection of cables, batteries, etc. when going on investigations. I have accomplished a great feat by changing my lifestyle and going from 299 lbs to a current 217 lbs and I have a final goal of 195 lbs. I am working on writing a self help book about how to accomplish this feat yourself by following what I did. This is just in the initial stages so I don’t have an estimated completion date as of yet.

Sherry Irish
Co-Founder and Lead Investigator for the CNJPI
I am originally from Hazlet, NJ. I enjoy reading mystery novels, old movies, ELVIS, long walks in the country, and spending time with my hubby. I also have started following Gregory’s guidelines and have lost a considerable amount of weight and I also plan on losing more before I am done.
We both enjoy spending time with Gregory’s African Grey Parrot, Sherry’s Black and White Domestic Shorthair Cat, and our Netherland Dwarf Rabbit. We like to take walks and we exercise almost everyday now. Who has time for ghosts? We make time.

Brian McCauley
Lead Investigator for the CNJPI

Brian has been interested in the paranormal since early childhood. At an early age he saw his deceased great-grandfather sitting in the last pew as he made his Communion. After this happened his interest in ghosts and the after life grew as he did. He began reading literature about the paranormal shortly after and it soon became an obsession. He began reading everything he could get his hands on regarding the paranormal.
During his teenage years Brian went out and conducted his own investigations around local places that were suspected to be haunted. Looking to further his knowledge and interest in the field, he decided he wanted to find a group to share his experiences and knowledge with about the paranormal.
Brian became a member of the NJGHS in July of 2007. He has a growing collection of ghost hunting equipment and is always looking to try new forms of spirit communication. When not ghost hunting Brian works as a physical therapist’s aide. He also enjoys painting, reading, writing, and creating and listening to music during his leisure time.
Brian joined the CNJPI in the late part of 2008 and has proven to be an excellent investigator and a great asset to the group.
